EPHA6는 ephrin receptor 하위군에 속하는 protein-tyrosine kinase로, 축삭 유도, 뉴런-표적 상호작용, 영역 구획화, 시냅스 기능 등 신경계에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
EPHA6는 뇌와 고환에서 높게 발현되며, 외부 생식기 발달 장애인 Hypospadias에서 감소가 보고되었습니다.
마우스 모델에서 EPHA6 유전적 억제는 학습 및 기억 관련 행동 결함을 유발하며, 훈련 맥락의 결과를 기억하는 능력이 감소합니다.
