Description:
The monoclonal antibody PD7/26 recognizes CD45RB, an isoform of the Leukocyte Common Antigen (LCA, CD45). CD45RB is a protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor expressed on most hematopoietic cells and absent on non-hematopoietic cells. Its expression is restricted to T cell subsets, B cells, NK cells, and myeloid cells. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) express low levels of CD45RB, correlating with increased migration to infection sites. High CD45RB expression induces IL-2 and IFN-γ production instead of IL-4 in vitro.

Reported for use in flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue), microscopy, and immunocytochemistry.

Applications Tested:
Tested by IHC using low pH antigen retrieval at ≤10 µg/mL. Optimal dilution should be determined experimentally.

Target Information

CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase and isoform of CD45 glycoprotein. CD45 plays a key role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling by regulating Src-family kinases, promoting cell survival, and modulating integrin-mediated signal transduction. It is also involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis. CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains and expression patterns depending on cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells and is essential in immunoreceptor signaling and apoptosis regulation. CD45 is expressed on all human hematopoietic cells except mature red blood cells.
