TAS2R40는 구스타두신 결합 수용체로, 구강 및 위장관에서 쓴맛 인지에 관여합니다. PLCB2 및 칼슘 조절 양이온 채널 TRPM5를 통해 신호를 전달하며, 혀의 특정 미각 수용체 세포에서 구스타두신 양성 세포에만 발현됩니다. 여러 쓴맛 수용체가 단일 미각 수용체 세포에 함께 발현될 수 있습니다.
