Target Information
IkB-alpha는 NF-κB 활성을 억제하는 40 kDa 단백질로, 세포질 내에서 NF-κB와 결합하여 핵 내 이동을 차단합니다. TNF-α, IL-1β, LPS, UV, 바이러스 감염 등 다양한 자극에 의해 IkB-alpha가 분해되면 NF-κB가 활성화됩니다.
IkB-alpha의 Ser32, Ser36 잔기의 인산화는 IKKα에 의해 매개되며, 이는 NF-κB 신호전달 경로의 핵심 단계입니다.
인간의 경우 IkB-alpha 유전자는 14번 염색체 q-arm에 위치합니다.
