The antibody is affinity purified from rabbit sera generated after immunization and tested for functionality in various research applications. Target Information
FLT1 (VEGFR1) is a receptor tyrosine kinase crucial for angiogenesis. It plays roles in both pathological and physiological processes, including tumor progression, diabetic retinopathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and wound healing. FLT1 may act as a negative regulator of embryonic angiogenesis by inhibiting excessive endothelial cell proliferation. In adults, it can promote endothelial cell proliferation and survival, depending on cell type. It has high affinity for VEGFA and relatively low kinase activity, possibly functioning as a negative regulator of VEGFA signaling by limiting VEGFA availability and preventing its binding to KDR.
