- Immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed):
Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

FABP1 encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in the liver.
Fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are a family of small, highly conserved cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands.
FABP1 and FABP6 (ileal FABP) can also bind bile acids.
FABPs are thought to play roles in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism.
