- 본 항체는 서열 상동성에 따라 bovine, equine, mouse, opossum, rat, zebrafish에서도 반응할 것으로 예측됨

이 단백질은 UV 조사나 인슐린 신호 등 다양한 자극에 의해 인산화되어 eIF4E로부터 해리되고 mRNA 번역이 활성화됨.
