Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with rat samples based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is brain tissue.
Target Information
Synucleins are small, soluble proteins expressed primarily in neural tissue and in certain tumors.
The family includes three known proteins: alpha-synuclein, beta-synuclein, and gamma-synuclein.
- Alpha- and beta-synuclein proteins are found primarily in brain tissue, mainly in presynaptic terminals.
- Gamma-synuclein protein is found primarily in the peripheral nervous system and retina.
Its expression in breast tumors makes it a candidate marker for tumor progression.
