Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Epithelial sodium channels are amiloride-sensitive members of the Degenerin/epithelial sodium channel (Deg/ENaC) superfamily of ion channels.
These channels share structural organization: two short intracellular termini, two membrane-spanning segments, and a large extracellular loop with a conserved cysteine-rich region.
There are three homologous isoforms — alpha, beta, and gamma.
ENaC in kidney, lung, and colon regulates trans-epithelial sodium and fluid balance and mediates aldosterone-dependent sodium reabsorption in the distal nephron, influencing blood pressure.
Mutations in ENaC subunits are associated with Liddels syndrome (gain-of-function) and pseudohypoaldosteronism (loss-of-function).
