Target Information
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor, CD221) is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by IGF-1 and IGF-2. It plays a key role in cell growth and cancer progression. The receptor is a tetramer composed of two alpha and two beta subunits.
Binding of IGF-1 induces autophosphorylation of IGF1R at positions 1134, 1135, and 1136, subsequently activating downstream signaling pathways including RAS, RAF, ERK, p38, and JNK, which promote cellular proliferation.
