For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CTSL1 gene encodes a lysosomal cysteine proteinase involved in intracellular protein catabolism.
Its substrates include collagen, elastin, and alpha-1 protease inhibitor, which regulates neutrophil elastase activity.
This enzyme is associated with various pathological processes such as myofibril necrosis, myocardial ischemia, and renal tubular responses to proteinuria.
It belongs to the peptidase C1 family and exists as a disulfide-linked dimer derived from a single precursor protein.
Multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
