Calponin은 얇은 필라멘트 관련 단백질로, 평활근 수축의 조절 및 조정에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 actin, calmodulin, troponin C 및 tropomyosin과 결합할 수 있으며, actin과의 상호작용은 actomyosin Mg-ATPase 활성을 억제합니다.
