Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
CDCA8 is a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC), essential for the stability of the bipolar mitotic spindle.
This complex—comprising Survivin, CDCA8, INCENP, and Aurora-B—plays crucial roles in mitosis and cell division.
CDCA8 expression increases during G2/M phase and decreases after mitosis. It is regulated by p53/Rb signaling and up-regulated in various cancers.
Inactivation of CDCA8 in Drosophila cells leads to polyploidy, delayed mitosis, and abnormal tissue development, indicating its importance in cell proliferation.
Aberrant expression of CDCA8 is associated with poor prognosis in gastric cancer.
