For detection of Human SDF-1alpha (CXCL12) by sandwich ELISA, use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL antibody (100 µL/well). In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human SDF-1alpha (CXCL12) (500-P87ABt) as detection antibody, it detects ≥0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human SDF-1alpha.Western Blot:
For detection of Human SDF-1alpha by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL antibody. Detection limit for Recombinant Human SDF-1alpha is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
CXCL12 is a stromal cell-derived alpha chemokine member of the intercrine family. Together with its receptor CXCR4, it activates lymphocytes and is implicated in cancer metastasis such as breast cancer. Mutations in CXCL12 are associated with resistance to HIV-1 infection. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
