Target Information
YY1 is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. It functions in both repression and activation of numerous promoters. YY1 may recruit histone deacetylases or histone acetyltransferases to promoters, linking histone modification to transcriptional regulation.
