Product Specific Information

PA1-746A detects cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) from human and rat tissues as well as transfected rat CB2.
It has been successfully used in WB, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and FACS procedures.
Immunocytochemical staining of CB2 in AtT20 cells transfected with the rat CB2 gene using PA1-746 shows a pattern consistent with plasma membrane staining.

Target Information

Cannabinoids exert their physiological effects through two G protein-coupled receptors, cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) and CB2.
Both receptors inhibit adenylyl cyclase and stimulate MAPK activity. CB1 receptors also modulate ion channels via G-protein interactions.
Delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol and related ligands likely exert psychoactive effects by inhibiting presynaptic calcium channels.
CB2 is primarily expressed in the immune system but may also be present in the central nervous system, including the retina.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
