Apolipoprotein A4 (ApoA-IV)는 프로테아제 처리 후 O-결합 당단백질 형태로 존재하는 혈장 단백질입니다. ApoA4는 HDL의 주요 구성 요소이며, 새로 합성된 킬로미크론 표면에서도 발견됩니다. ApoA4의 생리학적 기능은 아직 완전히 규명되지 않았지만, 여러 in vitro 연구에서 이 단백질이 말초 세포에서 간으로 콜레스테롤을 운반하는 역콜레스테롤 수송 경로의 여러 단계에 관여함을 시사합니다.
