STK38L은 AGC kinase 계열의 serine/threonine kinase로, RASSF1A/MST1에 의해 활성화되어 Fas receptor 자극에 반응하는 새로운 pro-apoptotic kinase로 작용합니다. 주로 분화 및 성숙한 신경 세포의 구조적 과정 조절에 관여하며, 흉선에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
STK38L은 12개의 단백질 kinase 촉매 소단위와 잠재적인 bipartite 핵 내 위치 신호를 포함합니다.
