Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to large rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Ubiquitination is a key mechanism for targeting short-lived or abnormal proteins for degradation through the coordinated action of three enzyme classes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s), ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s), and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s).
Ubr2 (Ubiquitin-protein ligase E3-alpha-2), also known as N-recognin-2, is a 1755 amino acid protein containing one UBR-type and one RING-type zinc finger. It functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase recognizing proteins with destabilizing N-terminal residues, leading to their ubiquitination and degradation. Mice lacking Ubr2 are infertile due to meiotic defects.
