The gene PDLIM7 (PDZ and LIM domain protein-7) is mapped to human chromosome 5q35.3. It belongs to the PDLIM family. PDLIM7 contains PDZ (Discs-large homologous regions) and LIM (Lin11, Isl-1 & Mec-3) domains. It is ubiquitously expressed in human tissues including leukocytes, spleen, lung, placenta, fetal liver, skeletal muscle, bone marrow, and heart.
PDLIM7 is also known as LMP1 (LIM mineralization protein).
