Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
WNT5B encodes a protein showing 94% amino acid identity to mouse Wnt5b and 80% to human WNT5A. Alternative splicing generates two transcript variants.
