The Human Flt3-Ligand Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures Flt3-Ligand protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create a custom multiplex panel utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits (not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple protein targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument.
These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and only four hours to obtain analyzed results.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identified by Luminex systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Similar to a sandwich ELISA, matched antibody pairs identify the target protein. Each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for one protein target, and bound proteins are identified with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to a bead rather than adsorbed to a microplate well, allowing free-floating reagents in solution.
Detection is performed using Luminex instruments equipped with dual lasers—one distinguishing bead signatures and the other quantifying RPE fluorescence proportional to protein amount.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, canine).
