This antibody detects endogenous levels of HSL only when phosphorylated at Ser853, which site has been historically referenced as Ser563.
Target Information
Hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) is an intracellular neutral lipase found in various tissues, primarily in adipose and steroidogenic tissues. It hydrolyzes triglycerides and cholesteryl esters and serves as the major enzyme responsible for mobilization of free fatty acids from adipose tissue.
