This antibody detects endogenous levels of total PLCL1 protein.
Target Information
PLCL1 is involved in an inositol phospholipid-based intracellular signaling cascade but shows no PLC activity toward phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate or phosphatidylinositol. It participates in the phospho-dependent endocytosis process of the GABA A receptor, regulating receptor turnover and contributing to GABA-mediated synaptic inhibition. Aberrant expression may be associated with lung carcinoma development. Acts as an inhibitor of PPP1C.
