Target Information

This antibody recognizes the non-catalytic beta-2 subunit of Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase, an enzyme that catalyzes ATP hydrolysis coupled with Na⁺ and K⁺ ion exchange across the plasma membrane.
The beta-2 subunit mediates cell adhesion of neurons and astrocytes and promotes neurite outgrowth.
Its exact function remains not fully understood.
