Product Specific Information

PerCP conjugates are excited by the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser and have a large Stokes shift, providing minimal spectral overlap into the R-PE (phycoerythrin) channel.
This antibody recognizes the complex of the HLA-DR chains but not the individual chains.


Target Information

HLA-DR, a member of the MHC class II family, is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).

  • The DRA gene contains 5 exons: exon 1 encodes the leader peptide, exons 2–3 encode extracellular domains, and exon 4 encodes the transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
  • The DRA chain lacks polymorphisms in the peptide-binding region and pairs with DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5 beta chains.
  • The DRB chain contains polymorphisms determining peptide-binding specificity.
  • HLA-DR is expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.

Three loci—DR, DQ, and DP—encode major human class II molecules that bind processed peptides, present them to T-helper cells, and initiate immune responses.
HLA and MHC antibodies are valuable tools in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in the identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
