Target Information
CLEC4M은 type II integral membrane protein으로, CD209 항원과 77%의 서열 상동성을 가지며 HIV gp120 결합 단백질로 알려져 있습니다. 이 단백질은 CD209와 유사하게 intercellular adhesion molecule 3 (ICAM3) 및 HIV-1 gp120에 효율적으로 결합하며, T 세포의 HIV-1 감염을 촉진합니다.
Western blot 분석에서 두 개의 상이한 항체를 사용하여 동일한 분자량의 밴드가 확인되었습니다.
이 유전자는 염색체 19p13.3에 위치하며, CD209 및 CD23/FCER2 유전자와 클러스터를 형성합니다.
여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되었으나, 일부 전사체의 생물학적 유효성은 아직 확립되지 않았습니다.
