Product Specific Information

  • For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
  • For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

FKBP12 (FKBP1A) is a member of the immunophilin protein family, involved in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes such as protein folding and trafficking.
It functions as a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin.
FKBP12 interacts with several intracellular signaling proteins, including type I TGF-beta receptor and intracellular calcium release channels, and coordinates multi-protein complex formation of the skeletal muscle ryanodine receptor.
In mouse, deletion of this gene causes congenital heart disorder known as noncompaction of left ventricular myocardium.
