Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry on PFA-fixed tissues: incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
GPC3 (Glypican-3) is a cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycan involved in growth modulation in mesodermal tissues and organs. It may regulate IGF2 interactions with its receptor and influence cell division and tumor predisposition.
Mutations in GPC3 cause Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome (SGBS), characterized by pre- and postnatal overgrowth with visceral and skeletal anomalies.
