GPC3의 결실 돌연변이는 Simpson-Golabi-Behmel 증후군(SGBS, Simpson dysmorphia syndrome)의 원인으로 알려져 있으며, 이는 출생 전후 과성장과 내장 및 골격 이상을 특징으로 합니다.
