Product Specific Information
Description:
The 6H6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD123, the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor. This 60–70 kDa transmembrane protein binds IL-3 with low affinity alone, and with high affinity when associated with CD131 (common beta chain). CD123 is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, and megakaryocytes.
Applications Reported:
This antibody is reported for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information
IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha) is part of the type I cytokine receptor family and forms a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit. It mediates IL-3 signal transduction, with heterodimerization induced by IL-3. IL-3Ra is known to be overexpressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared to normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential therapeutic target.
