Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CBX8 is a component of the Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, which maintains the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development.
The PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and histone modification, mediating monoubiquitination of histone H2A at Lys-119, resulting in heritable changes in chromatin expressibility.
