Antibody detects endogenous levels of VEGFR1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr1333.
Target Information
FLT1 (VEGFR1) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in angiogenesis. Active angiogenesis is important in pathological and physiological processes such as tumor progression, diabetic retinopathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and wound healing.
It may act as a negative regulator of embryonic angiogenesis by inhibiting excessive endothelial cell proliferation. In adulthood, it can promote endothelial cell proliferation, survival, and angiogenesis, depending on cell type.
FLT1 has high affinity for VEGFA and relatively low kinase activity, possibly functioning as a negative regulator by limiting free VEGFA availability and preventing its binding to KDR.
