Product Specific Information
The SA-DA4 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mu heavy chain of human IgM. It does not react with other classes of human immunoglobulin such as IgD, IgG, or IgA. IgM is expressed intracellularly during early B lymphopoiesis and on the surface of mature B cells.
Testing indicates variability in staining of non-B cell populations, attributed to donor variability and anticoagulant type. Sodium citrate is recommended to minimize non-specific staining.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry on human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) emits at 479 nm and is optimized for cytometers with a violet (405 nm) laser. Confirm instrument compatibility before use.
For panels including multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
BV480 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.
