Product Specific Information

MA5-15713 targets TAB2 in indirect ELISA, FACS, and WB applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human TAB2 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15713 detects TAB2, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 80 kDa.

Target Information

TAB2 is an activator of MAP3K7/TAK1, required for IL-1–induced activation of NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK.
It forms a kinase complex with TRAF6, MAP3K7, and TAB1, serving as an adaptor linking MAP3K7 and TRAF6.
TAB2, TAB1, and MAP3K7 participate in TNFSF11/RANKL signal transduction via activation of TNFRSF11A/RANK, regulating osteoclast development and function.
TAB2 and TAB3 interact with autophagy mediator Beclin-1; upon autophagy induction, they dissociate from Beclin-1 and bind TAK1. Overexpression inhibits autophagy, while depletion triggers it, suggesting TAB2 and TAB3 act as control points for autophagy.
