MA5-15714 targets CCNB1 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and Rat samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human CCNB1 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15714 detects CCNB1, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 60 kDa.

Target Information

Cyclins bind to and regulate the activity of Cyclin-dependent protein kinases (CDKs).
Cyclin B1 (CCNB1) is a regulatory protein involved in mitosis and is essential for controlling the cell cycle at the G2/M transition. It complexes with p34 (cdc2) to form the maturation-promoting factor (MPF).
Two transcript variants exist: one constitutively expressed and one cell cycle-regulated, predominantly during G2/M phase. Cyclin B1 accumulates during G2 phase and is degraded at the end of mitosis via APC-dependent mechanisms.
Overexpression of Cyclin B1 has been observed in various cancers, including breast, prostate, and non-small cell lung cancer.
