Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
LHCGR encodes the receptor for both luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin. It belongs to the family 1 of G-protein coupled receptors (FSH/LH/TSH superfamily).
Its main function is to act as a luteinizing hormone/choriogonadotropin receptor (gonadotropin receptor), regulating the development and function of Leydig cells in males.
It also plays a role in male secondary sexual characteristic development.
Mutations in this receptor can result in disorders such as familial male precocious puberty and male pseudohermaphroditism.
