Syntrophin alpha-1 (Dystrophin, SNTA1)는 근섬유 내면에서 발견되는 대형 막골격 단백질로, Dystrophin 및 관련 단백질과 결합하는 주변막 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 Syntrophin 유전자 패밀리에 속하며, 최소 두 개 이상의 구조적으로 유사한 유전자가 포함되어 있습니다. Duchenne 근이영양증 환자에서는 Dystrophin이 결여되어 있으며, Becker 근이영양증 환자에서는 감소된 양으로 존재합니다.
