Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화, 그리고 세포사와 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열 단백질입니다. 약 50여 개의 동형 단백질이 존재하며, 활성 부위에 시스테인 잔기를 포함하고 있습니다. 포유류 Prx는 6가지 멤버로 구성되며, 2-Cys 및 1-Cys Prx로 분류됩니다. 대부분의 2-Cys Prx는 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용한 thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase(TPx) 활성을 갖습니다. 포유류 Prx 단백질은 분자량 20–30 kDa 범위이며, 세포질, 미토콘드리아, ER 등 다양한 세포 내 위치에 존재합니다. 특히 Prx V는 peroxisome, mitochondria, cytosol 등 복잡한 분포를 나타냅니다.
