Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at −20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at −20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Expressed in the cochlea, particularly in inner and outer hair cells.
Defects in Mcoln3 cause the varitin-waddler (Va) phenotype, associated with early-onset hearing loss, vestibular defects, pigmentation abnormalities, and perinatal lethality.
The varitin-waddler Jackcon (Va-J) phenotype is similar but less severe.
Belongs to the transient receptor family, polycystin subfamily.
