Product Specific Information

The SA-DA4 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mu heavy chain of human IgM and does not cross-react with other classes of human immunoglobulin including IgD, IgG, or IgA. IgM is expressed intracellularly during early stages of B lymphopoiesis and on the surface of mature B cells.

Testing has revealed variations in staining of non-B cell populations that may be non-specific. This variation can be attributed to donor variability and the anticoagulant used during blood draw. Sodium citrate is recommended as the anticoagulant to minimize non-specific staining.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis and immunohistochemical staining.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells at ≤1 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume). Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

IgM is expressed intracellularly during early stages of B lymphopoiesis and on the surface of mature B cells in the bone marrow and peripheral B cells.
