Target Information
STAG2 is a component of the cohesin complex, which is essential for sister chromatid cohesion after DNA replication. The cohesin complex forms a protein ring trapping sister chromatids until anaphase, when it is cleaved to allow segregation. It may also contribute to spindle pole assembly during mitosis.
