Target Information
HIV-1 Nef는 AIDS 바이러스 복제의 초기 단계에서 합성되는 보조 단백질 중 하나로, 감염된 세포 내에서 풍부하게 존재합니다. 초기에는 ‘negative factor’로 명명되었으나, 현재는 AIDS 바이러스의 생물학적 특성을 가장 잘 나타내는 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
이 단백질은 숙주 T 세포의 신호전달 단백질과 직접 상호작용하며, AIDS 감염 과정, 감염 세포의 장기 생존, 비감염 세포의 세포사멸 유도 등에 관여합니다. 또한, CD4 및 MHC와 같은 세포 표면 수용체 단백질의 내포(endocytosis) 및 분해에도 관여하여 바이러스 감염에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
