Target Information
hCG beta는 인간 융모성 생식선자극호르몬(human chorionic gonadotropin, hCG)의 β사슬로, 수정 후 약 10~12일 후부터 태반의 영양막세포에서 생성되는 40 kDa 당단백질 호르몬입니다.
hCG는 α 및 β 두 개의 비공유 결합된 소단위로 구성되며, α사슬은 FSH, LH, TSH와 유사하지만 β사슬은 각 호르몬 간의 생물학적 특이성을 부여합니다.
임신 초기 태아 유지에는 hCG가 필수적이며, 황체에 결합하여 프로게스테론 생성을 유도하고 자궁내막을 유지합니다.
비임신 상태에서는 소량만 존재하지만 임신 시 급격히 증가합니다.
hCG 이상과 관련된 질환으로는 임신성 영양막 종양, 포상기태 등이 있습니다.
