Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
SF3B2 is a subunit of the splicing factor SF3B required for A complex assembly, formed by stable binding of U2 snRNP to the branchpoint sequence (BPS) in pre-mRNA. Sequence-independent binding of the SF3A/SF3B complex upstream of the branch site is essential and may anchor U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA. It may also participate in E complex assembly and belongs to the minor U12-dependent spliceosome involved in splicing of rare nuclear pre-mRNA introns.
