Product Specific Information
The D7 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Sca-1, an 18 kDa member of the Ly-6 family of GPI-linked surface proteins. D7 reacts with both Ly-6E.1 and Ly-6A.2 molecules expressed by mouse hematopoietic stem cells, myeloid population, and peripheral T and B cells. Non-activated splenocytes from Ly-6.2 strains (C57BL, SJL, 129, AKR, etc.) show higher D7-positive frequency compared to Ly-6.1 strains (BALB/c, C3H, NZB, etc.). Sca-1 is highly expressed upon activation regardless of Ly-6 haplotype. The Ly-6 family is involved in T cell activation regulation. Sca-1 serves as a major phenotypic marker for mouse hematopoietic progenitor/stem cell subsets.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤1.0 µg/test. Optimal titration recommended.
Fluorochrome: Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480), excitation 440 nm / emission 479 nm, compatible with 405 nm laser-equipped cytometers.
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
Note: BV480 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information
Stem Cell Antigen-1 (Sca-1) is a member of the Ly-6 family, expressed on multipotent hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) and used as an HSC marker in mice. It is found in fetal liver, adult bone marrow, peripheral blood, and spleen, and may regulate B and T cell activation.
