The PA1-73113 antibody reacts with Bacillus species spores.
It has been successfully used in immunofluorescence applications.
The antibody was raised against purified spores of B. cereus (ATCC #11778) and B. subtilis (ATCC #9372).
Target Information
Bacillus is a genus of rod-shaped, Gram-positive bacteria within the division Firmicutes. Members of this genus are obligate or facultative aerobes and test positive for catalase.
Bacillus species include both free-living and pathogenic forms, such as B. anthracis (anthrax) and B. cereus (food poisoning). Under stress, these bacteria form oval endospores, allowing long-term dormancy.
