This antibody detects endogenous levels of total UBR4.
Target Information
UBR4 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that functions in the N-end rule pathway. It recognizes and binds to proteins with destabilizing N-terminal residues, leading to their ubiquitination and degradation. Together with clathrin, UBR4 forms meshwork structures involved in membrane morphogenesis and cytoskeletal organization. It also regulates integrin-mediated signaling and may play a role in FAK activation in response to cell-matrix interactions. Additionally, UBR4 mediates ubiquitination of ACLY, resulting in its degradation.
