E2F2는 E2F 전사인자 패밀리에 속하며, 세포 주기 조절 및 종양 억제 단백질 작용에 중요한 역할을 합니다. E2F 단백질들은 DNA 결합 도메인, DP 단백질과의 이합체화 도메인, 산성 아미노산이 풍부한 전사활성 도메인, 그리고 종양 억제 단백질 결합 도메인을 포함합니다. E2F1 및 E2F3과 함께 사이클린 결합 도메인을 가지며, 세포 주기 의존적으로 pRB 단백질과 결합합니다. E2F1과 46%의 아미노산 서열 동일성을 가집니다.
