Apolipoprotein M은 지질 운반에 관여하는 lipocalin 단백질 계열의 구성원으로, 주로 고밀도 지단백(HDL)에 결합되어 있으며 저밀도 지단백(LDL) 및 중성지방 풍부한 지단백에도 일부 존재합니다. 세포막을 통해 분비되지만 막 결합 상태로 유지되며, 두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되었으며 그 중 하나만 완전히 특성화되었습니다.
